How did you Give Out Loud today? Who understands the importance of nutrition better than professional athletes? Starving children! Starting July 10th the two will become partners!
Just returned from the fitness center where I'm working on donating 20# of fat to the universe. March 23th at 07:18am |

Scott Nicewonger: The International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) will announce on July 10th that Mannatech is their official sport nutrition company of choice. That same day Mannatech announces the beginning of a new program where anyone who puts select products on automatic order will generate a matching donation to an overseas orphanage. Some of the sport nutrition products qualify for this. This is just so powerful! People who have a financial interest in their own peak wellness can add missionary to their list of accomplishments. A glittering medal on a satin ribbon is great, but the saving of a child's life invisibly attached to the honor is eternal! Think about it!
Scott Nicewonger: July 4th is American Independence day, but starting this year July 11th will be known as Global Independence day for malnurished and undernurished children!
I just heard a couple of new terms this past weekend that have really inspired and excited me: social entrepreneur and stubborn-passion. I heard an inspiring story about a man named Muhammad Yunus and an institution called Grameen Bank. Social Entrepreneurship is the science and skill of taking a hopeless global situation and actually making a difference and putting the cause well on the road to eradication all together! Sound like a dream? No; Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank is proof that the concept works! Details about the concept can be found in the book, “How to Change the World: Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas†by David Bornstein. One of the principles of the concept is that people are a powerful tool and people’s passions need to be linked to financial gain to “incentify†participation by enough people to accomplish the goal. The trick is to find the people interested in making a difference and to find a way to provide financial incentive independent from the local economy (In hard times donations are the first item of the budget to be cut; sad, but indisputable truth!)
I am looking for people to help me in my new life mission. Every six seconds a child somewhere in this world dies from a cause directly attributed to malnurishment; I AM GOING TO SLOW AND STOP THIS TRADGEDY. Are you comfortable with receiving a gift? Are you comfortable with giving a gift? Are you passionate about helping children in need? If the answers to all these questions are “yesâ€, then you qualify for my stubborn passion team and need to contact me. If you are just curious at this point, but only want to get more details contact me (I recognize that you can’t push someone into an act of passion that they are not truly passionate about).
