Jarabacoa (HAR-a-ba-COE-a) is a city of contrasts. Many of the rich have second homes because of the beauty and the cooler temperatures, but the majority of the population lives in very poor conditions. Here you will find over 500 children being cared for by various Kids Alive Ministries. Supported heavily through the child sponsorship program of $35.00 a month, and mission teams that come throughout the year to provide supplies, construction, medical and dental care, classroom help, and spiritual encouragement. Kids Alive International is changing the future of the Dominican Republic....one child at a time.
I love the fact that this is the Vision that God has given them. They see how changing the vision of the next generation can be what will change the country around! "Where there is no vision, the people perish."
